Nilesh Makwana is a Business Development Manager, Project Manager and Business Analyst with an analytical mind, strong business acumen and an ability to communicate well. He is also an entrepreneur, social innovator and ICT advocate. Nilesh strives to build professional networks that enable teams to work collaboratively and link people together. For this reason, he is the company representative of Illuminance Solutions in the marketplace.
Nilesh has been part of the ICT industry in Perth since 2012. He was the Founder and CEO of Tantra technology, the Project Manager for Navitas Limited Ltd., and a Business Analyst for Onboard Group Pty Ltd. While studying, Nilesh was a Business Development Manager for the Curtin University THiNK ICT Student Association, and he was also on the Board of Advisory at Enactus Curtin.
Nilesh is currently a System Analyst at Illuminance Solutions, a Technology Advisor for the Innovation Centre of WA, an Assessment Panel and Advisory Board Member for the City of Joondalup Innovation Fund, an Advisory Council Member for the West Coast Institute Technology Council of Industry Partners (COIP), an Advisory Committee Member at Edith Cowan University, and a Committee Member for the eGroup Association.
Nilesh demonstrates a desire for innovation and development, as shown through his involvement with a range of award panels. He is a Judge on the OzApp Awards Assessment Panel, a panel member on the Emerging Innovation Category Evaluation Panel for the WA Innovator of the Year program, and an Organising Committee Member and Judge for the Startup category of the WAITTA (WA Information Technology and Telecommunications Awards) Incite Awards.
Nilesh demonstrates a track record of leadership and innovation through the founding of three major projects. He is the Founder and Team Manager of Postcare App, the Founder and Project President of Borderless Gandhi, and was the Initiator and curator of the West Tech Assemblage. In 2013, Nilesh received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Governor of WA, His Excellency Malcom McCusker, for his work with Postcare App. In 2015, Nilesh received the Nifnex Influential 100 Awards Perth for Small Business Community.
Nilesh has a Master of Management Information Systems, specialising in Enterprise Systems, from Edith Cowan University, a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of West London, and A Levels from the University of Cambridge International School.
Nilesh’s extensive involvement in the ICT sector has enabled him to build a large professional network and accumulate a wide range of knowledge about the current state of ICT in Perth and the direction the sector is heading. Nilesh is the first to know about new companies, new technologies, and who to approach for assistance or information. Nilesh focuses on building relationships with people and believes that it is through our collaboration that companies grow.
