Position Overview

Position: Technical Business Analyst/Architect

Location: Perth

As a Technical Business Analyst/Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering innovative solutions tailored to our client’s needs. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to analyse requirements, design high-level architectures, and ensure seamless implementation of AvantCare, CTMS and other Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions. You will ensure that solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Responsibilities will include

Internal Duties 

  • Solution Design & ArchitectureDevelop solution designs based on customer requirements, focusing on Dynamics 365 and Power Platform integration.Design scalable, secure, and compliant architectures that align with the client’s business processes.

    Ensure solutions are aligned with industry standards, compliance, and regulatory requirements, including data protection (GDPR, HIPAA, NDIS).

    Ensure that components within a solution are efficient and can be reused across similar use cases.

    Design complex solutions into simple parts for ease of testing.

  • Requirements Gathering & AnalysisCollaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements.Lead workshops to capture current state processes and design future state solutions, particularly in the aged care and disability sectors.
  • Technical Leadership & GuidanceProvide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to implementation.Work closely with development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring customisations are in line with best practices.

    Guide and mentor junior technical staff, providing architectural direction and oversight.

  • Integration & CustomisationDefine and oversee the integration of Dynamics 365 with third-party systems (e.g., financial, government databases) using APIs, middleware, and connectors.
  • Data Migration & ManagementDevelop data migration strategies for clients transitioningEnsure the integrity, security, and quality of data through proper migration, cleansing, and validation processes.
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)Implement governance strategies to ensure data security, user access controls, and regulatory compliance.Create and maintain documentation for solution architectures, technical workflows, and governance policies.
  • Collaboration & Client EngagementServe as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
    Drive continuous improvement by collecting client feedback and adapting solutions to changing business needs.
  • Testing, Deployment, and Support
    Support user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring the solution meets client expectations and business requirements.
    Provide technical support during go-live and post-implementation, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing optimisation of solutions.

Key Outcomes

Backlog Refinement Efficiency:

Number of backlog items deemed “ready” before sprint planning.

  • Target: 100% of backlog items for the next sprint are in a “ready” state before sprint planning.

Solution Design Accuracy:

Percentage of solutions designed that meet all documented client requirements without significant rework or redesign.

  • Target: 95%+ solutions delivered without major redesigns post-implementation.

Deployment Success Rate:

Percentage of projects deployed without critical issues during go-live.

  • Target: 95%+ go-live events without major incidents or downtime.

Client Satisfaction Score (CSAT):

Feedback score from clients on how well the delivered solution meets their needs and business goals.

  • Target: 90%+ satisfaction based on post-project feedback surveys.

Bug Fix Turnaround:

Average time taken to resolve post-deployment bugs or issues.

  • Target: Resolve 90% of critical bugs within 48 hours of identification.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform (Power Apps- Dava verse, Power BI, Power Automate), and Azure cloud services.

  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand complex business processes, particularly in aged care, healthcare, or disability services sectors.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to solve complex business and technical challenges with innovative solutions.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and guide technical teams and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, NDIS, and general data protection standards.
