We’re committed to upholding its message of reconciliation as we approach the referendum on The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament that is set by the Albanese Government to be in the second half of 2023. This year, the team celebrated Harmony Week by hosting a ‘Taste of Harmony’ event on Friday 24th March. They shared food from their own countries, giving everyone a chance to sample and learn about different cuisines. The event was also an opportunity to invite family members to the office and to celebrate not one but two birthdays with cake, birthday cards and songs! Harmony Week celebrations is an opportunity to bring people together, and to learn about cultures. For illuminance, it’s also an opportunity to share food.

National Apology Day is commemorated annually on 13 February and encourages remembrance of – and apology to – Stolen Generations and those whose lives have been blighted by past government policies of forced child removal and assimilation.
The ‘Stolen Generations’ Testimonies’ project is an initiative to record on film the personal testimonies of Australia’s Stolen Generations Survivors and share them online.

The National Indigenous Business Summer School WA Katitjiny Boya Birrit program, meaning ‘pathway to understanding business’ interpreted in Noongar, is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander secondary students with an interest in business or commerce. illuminance Solutions sponsored the 2023 program, supporting young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in their learning journey.
With a mission to bridge the digital divide and create greater opportunities for all Western Australians, the McGowan Government launched The Digital Inclusion in WA Blueprint, an outline of strategic approaches and key initiatives to make WA a digitally inclusive State. The launch, which was hosted at illuminance Solutions office in Perth on Friday 16 December 2022, was made possible through the collaboration between the WA Government and West Tech Assemblage.
